Job summary

The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Maintenance Repair Worker 3 at Lebanon Correctional Institute in Lebanon, OH. This full-time role leads maintenance tasks across electrical, carpentry, plumbing and grounds while supervising inmates or staff as assigned.

You will inspect facilities, perform preventive maintenance, operate tools and equipment, and participate in safety and training activities.

Qualifications

• 12 months trg. or exp. in maintenance repair (e.g., basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry & use of tools.
• Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is regulated.
• Equivalents may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead worker over inmates or staff in semi-skilled and skilled maintenance repairs (electrical, carpentry, grounds keeping, plumbing).
• Perform maintenance repairs on equipment and installations (lighting, outlets, fixtures, heating/cooling components).
• Inspect buildings and equipment for needed repairs; perform preventive maintenance.
