Job summary

Lowe's in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to keep our distribution center running. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain conveyors, rolling stock, and building systems, often working independently and guiding junior teammates.

With strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, you will schedule repairs, mentor other mechanics, and document maintenance in our CMMS. This role requires safety focus, physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and willingness to on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license.
• 4 years of Maintenance experience
• 2 Years experience in two specialty areas
• Experience repairing and providing technical training in electrical/electronic voltages (51-599) volt systems and above
• Lift up to 70 pounds.
• Work safely with corrosive materials and at heights of 20 feet.
• Certified to perform work at the Maintenance Mechanic level if required by local regulations
• Proven record of following safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain certification as required by state and local regulations.
• Plan and execute maintenance tasks across conveyors, rolling stock, or building systems.
• Lead and mentor team members and provide training as needed.
• Document equipment condition and maintenance in the CMMS.
• Develop expertise in at least two specialty areas.
• Collaborate with management and colleagues.
