Astec is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Eugene to install, maintain, and repair heavy machinery across our facilities. Work includes reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production teams to ensure uptime.

Candidates should have 4+ years in mechanical maintenance and be proficient in reading schematics, safety protocols, and using hand and power tools. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum four (4) years’ experience as a mechanic, maintenance mechanic, or millwright.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts and measurements to practical situations.
• Ability to read a tape measure and read BOMs.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, overhaul, modify and repair machinery and stationary equipment (conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic devices, pumps, engines, motors, PLCs, machining centers, press brakes, burn tables).
• Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions; troubleshoot production problems.
• Perform pre- and post-operational checks ensuring safety devices function properly after repairs and installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and process specifications to guide work.
• Prepare maintenance reports to support ongoing maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to complete maintenance requirements on time.
