Job summary

Astec is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role supports safety, predictive maintenance, and productivity goals across the site.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in manufacturing with HVAC, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical skills, plus PLC exposure. Ability to work independently or with teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and an apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 2+ years in manufacturing with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and HVAC skills, plus PLC exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others while solving problems.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and planned maintenance during machine service.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders; diagnose issues and replace parts as needed.
• Utilize hand and power tools, meters and basic carpentry to support HVAC and facility needs.
