Job summary

Cortland in the United States is seeking a Service Manager to lead the maintenance team at a multimillion-dollar multifamily community. You will oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems, drive preventative programs, and ensure timely, high-quality service that supports resident satisfaction and asset preservation.

You will manage a team of technicians, provide training and mentorship, enforce safety protocols, coordinate with vendors, and oversee budgeting and inventory.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily settings.
• EPA and CPO certifications required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Valid Class E driver's license; knowledge of EPA/OSHA/ADA/Fair Housing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems.
• Lead maintenance technicians and ensure high-quality, on-schedule work.
• Train, mentor, and enforce safety protocols and standards.
• Manage service requests, preventive maintenance, and inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage budgets and resources.
• Maintain a safe living environment and oversee on-call coverage.
