Job summary

North Houston property is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance HVAC to oversee service requests, perform repairs in A/C, electrical, plumbing and appliances, and prepare vacant units for market readiness.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Public Housing or Section 8 settings, HVAC license or EPA certification, and proven leadership to manage a large team across mid-century communities. Monday–Friday with rotating emergency weekends; strong resident service essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, general electrical.
• HVAC (EPA) Certification required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Public Housing or Project Based Section 8 housing.

• Resolve maintenance issues in the area of A/C, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
• Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements
• Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas

• Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service

Requirements

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, general electrical.
• HVAC (EPA) Certification required
• Reliable, organized, and solution-oriented
• Must have reliable transportation
• This is a Monday to Friday schedule with rotating emergency weekends.

Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Public Housing or Project Based Section 8 housing. HVAC license a plus. Experience leading a large team and working at communities built between 1950 - 1970 also a plus. Must know basic electrical, hvac, appliance repair, make ready.

Additional Details: Service Test required for this role. Housing Authority maintenance experience a plus.
