The Valcap Group in Katy, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations at our apartment community. HVAC certification is required, and the role calls for hands-on leadership of a maintenance team to ensure a safe, well-maintained living environment for residents.

You will lead day-to-day tasks, mentor staff, and coordinate repairs across plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and preventative maintenance, while maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification is required (HVAC licensed/certified).
• 3–5 years of multifamily property maintenance experience; lead/supervisory preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring timely and professional completion of work orders.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and guide team members on best practices.
• Perform and delegate general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
• Lead unit inspections, make-ready turnovers, and ensure curb appeal standards are met.
