Job summary

Austin Industrial in Houston, TX seeks a General Foreman for the Maintenance division. You will supervise frontline supervisors and craft personnel responsible for installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and facilities, coordinating outages and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• TWIC card and valid driver’s license (Certifications/ Licenses).
• Preferred 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Foreman.
• Experience supervising multi-craft maintenance personnel and coordinating maintenance resources.
• Strong troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and root cause analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages maintenance supervisors and craft personnel; coordinates maintenance activities and safety compliance within assigned areas.
• Ensures personnel perform tasks safely, efficiently, and per company procedures and standards.
• Assigns work, monitors productivity, and ensures tasks are completed on schedule and to quality expectations.
• Leads troubleshooting, RCA investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurring failures and improve reliability.
• Ensures tools, equipment, materials, and resources are available and properly maintained.
• Provides technical guidance on maintenance practices, repairs, and system reliability.
• Monitors work quality to meet safety, environmental, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Coaches and mentors supervisors and employees; sets performance expectations and supports workforce development.
• Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and others to support outages, shutdowns, and projects.
• Identifies process improvements to increase productivity and equipment performance.
