Job summary

Snelling Austin is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee daily maintenance in our industrial quarry setting near Burnet, Texas.

You will coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, mentor technicians, and work with production to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and maintenance docs; exposure to noise, dust, and harsh conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team management in industrial settings.
• Experience maintaining industrial quarry or heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment, mobile equipment, conveyors, crushers, and processing systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians while promoting safety and continuous improvement.
• Monitor maintenance schedules, equipment performance, and work order completion to maximize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to support production goals and planned shutdowns.
