Role Overview
The Maintenance Engineer will work under the direct supervision of the Plant Engineer and Engineering Manager. The Engineer handles responsibilities that include development and implementation of various field projects from construction to infrastructure, new equipment procurement/installations and repairs , development and implementation of plant maintenance procedures and ongoing troubleshooting. The Engineer will coordinate support contractors and w ork with the maintenance and facilities team on new and existing projects and provide guidance where needed.
This Engineer will u tilize industrial programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to diagnose equipment failures and possess special training to restore facilities and/or manufacturing and packaging equipment to operational status. He/She will perform assessments/evaluations of Packaging equipment for efficiencies, proposes upgrades of existing equipment or new equipment for better efficiencies, and safe operations. Performs evaluation of facilities and utilities to accommodate new Packaging projects. Review drawings and blueprints as required.
