Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer/Lead Mainframe Platform Engineer to lead design, implementation, and maintenance of critical mainframe systems in a remote-based role across our data centers. The candidate will drive platform improvements, ensure high availability, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across IT, product, analytics and business teams.

The ideal candidate has deep z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ experience, SE stewardship, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
5+ years in mainframe analysis, design, coding, testing or production support.
Experience with z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of mainframe systems.
Collaborate with IT, product, analytics and business teams to gather requirements.
Mentor junior engineers and lead complex projects.
Ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery planning.
Document processes and participate in knowledge sharing sessions.
