Job summary

FIS is seeking a skilled mainframe developer to contribute across the software development life cycle in a hybrid in-office role in Columbus or Atlanta. You will work with Cobol, IMS, DB2, and CICS within an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, and validate enterprise applications.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in coding and data analysis, familiarity with IBM Rational tools, and strong collaboration across developers, analysts and product owners.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / MIS or related field.
• Typically 6+ years professional experience in coding, designing and analyzing data.
• Cobol, IMS, & DB2 are required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle using Agile Scrum.
• Design, create, and deliver moderately complex program specifications for code development.
• Provide in-depth knowledge for analysis, modification, and development of complex code and unit testing.
• Advise leadership on standards to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Perform testing, validation, and corrective measures for complex code deficiencies.
