Job summary

Globant is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer (Senior) to lead and support a healthcare claims technology environment in Chicago, IL. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development on mainframe systems and modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 6–9 years of mainframe development, strong COBOL/DB2/VSAM/JCL/CICS skills, and experience with Xpediter, File-AID, Abend-AID. Hybrid work with three onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of hands-on mainframe development experience.
• Strong development with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL and CICS.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe debugging tools (Xpediter, File-AID, Abend-AID).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and SME for mainframe-based claims adjudication systems.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement fixes and enhancements for claims-processing apps.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure coding standards in mainframe projects.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate healthcare requirements into technical designs.
