Job summary

University of North Texas in Denton seeks a Mail & Receiving Manager to lead Eagle Post operations, supervise staff, and maintain USPS/vendor relationships. The role requires ensuring efficient mail processing, inventory control, and adherence to UNT policies.

This full-time, on-site position offers TRS retirement eligibility and a 1.0 FTE commitment, with daily operations Monday–Friday and driving university vehicle as part of duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with USPS certification acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Familiarity with mail handling procedures, postal regulations, and shipping practices.
• Experience with mailroom equipment and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work flow and mail operations, including processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
• Supervises staff including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed per USPS standards and UNT policies.
• Performs or assists with mailroom duties and daily operations.
• Investigates service complaints and takes corrective action.
• Manages inventory and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintains relationships with USPS and delivery vendors for timely mail deliveries.
• Manages Eagle Post budget and ensures a safe working environment.
