Job summary

Selective Insurance, a U.S.-based property and casualty insurer, seeks a Mail Center Clerk to oversee daily mail operations and ensure timely processing at our Kentucky area location.

You will manage incoming/outgoing mail, operate postage and inserting machines, and support branch activities with accuracy and efficiency. A 5+ year background in mail centers, strong PC skills, and leadership and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees incoming mail for distribution throughout the company.
• Oversees the postage machines, the Inserting machines and the Private Carrier and USPS processing workstations.
• Processes all USPS and private carrier reports for daily and monthly usages.
• Acts as in-house and external courier to and from the Branchville United States Post Office as well as the Bank.
• Packs and prepares all special mailings for postage and delivery.
• Uses the PC workstation, CICS AGT5 transaction to access the online agent file information needed for Mail Center use.
• Processes E-Certified Mail on the Internet.
• Monitors work flows to ensure that all work processes smoothly through the Mail Center.
• Initiates service calls for mailroom equipment.
• Provides daily direction, mentoring and training to all mail center employees. Acts in the absence of the Print and Mail Center Manager.

Overview

Provides quality and timely processing of all incoming, outgoing and interoffice mail. Oversees and directs all Mail Center functions in the absence of the Print and Mail Center Manager. Assists all Mail Center clerks in their training and development. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Pay Range

USD $51,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
