Job description

Da/Pro rubber is seeking an experienced Lead Machinist/Toolmaker for our Broken Arrow location. Under the supervision of the Tool & Die Supervisor, the lead general machinist will guide the team and assist in the department's operations. Responsibilities include operating manual machines, producing and repairing support equipment, and ensuring efficiency and compliance with customer specifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair tools used in various processes across the company
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
• Oversee machine conditioning and troubleshooting
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications
• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines for manufacturing molds and fixtures
• Verify finished work against specifications using precision instruments
• Report excessive defects to the supervisor
• Read blueprints and perform basic math calculations
• Receive training to operate all equipment
• Follow all safety procedures
• Document rework and nonconformance processes
• Operate manual mills or lathes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Effective communication skills
• Logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in ordering tools and researching parts/vendors
• Intermediate tooling knowledge in manufacturing
• Experience in inventory control and maintenance
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Job shop experience preferred

Physical Requirements
