Cummins Inc. is seeking a dedicated machinist on-site in Asheville, NC who will analyze and manufacture complex components using CNC and manual machines.

You will champion safety, drive environmental responsibility, and ensure high-quality standards while supporting preventive maintenance and continuous improvement. You will mentor teammates, collaborate across functions to resolve production challenges, and contribute to TPM initiatives to improve safety, quality and workflow.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with read blueprints and CAD/CAM files is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; CNC machine operation.
• Experience with precision measurement and quality control using micro-precision tools.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, design and manufacture complex components using machine tools with safety protocols.
• Champion health & safety by identifying hazards and promoting PPE use.
• Drive environmental responsibility and support sustainability goals.
• Ensure high-quality standards through attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Lead in precision manufacturing with CNC and other machine tools to meet delivery targets.
• Mentor and guide team members to develop skills and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production constraints and optimize processes.
• Engage in TPM initiatives and training to improve safety, quality, and workflow.
