Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP, based in Bastrop, TX, seeks a Supervisor for the Machining & Fabrication team. This role involves fabricating efforts for advanced engineering projects and leading a diverse team of specialists.

The successful candidate will facilitate collaboration with engineering leaders, manage tooling requisites, and ensure effective training and safety practices for the team. This position is critical to the success of Starlink production and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in machining, maintenance, or production/manufacturing.
• 2+ years of professional experience managing a team or leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a group of technicians and specialists that fabricate equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to achieve factory infrastructure deployment targets.
• Manage tooling/testing equipment and infrastructure required for projects.
• Provide mentorship to technicians/specialists on design and technical issues.
• Report on project status and critical path items to management.
