Pelton Shepherd Industries is seeking an engaged Machine Operator to join our Columbus, OH production team. You will operate and troubleshoot gel pack lines, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time output while supporting a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You should bring a mechanical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a collaborative setting. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth and skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 months as a PSI Assistant Machine Operator or relevant experience.
• Experience with vertical form fill and seal equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and address unsafe conditions.
• Provide direction and support to Packers and Stackers on your line.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production lines (gel pack manufacturing).
• Ensure output targets, quality, and delivery schedules are met.
• Monitor line performance and adjust processes to maintain efficiency.
• Verify packaging, labeling and finished goods accuracy.
• Maintain SOPs, flowcharts and GMP standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Complete production and quality documentation and communicate with supervisors.
• Support smooth shift transitions with clear communication.
