Pelton Shepherd Industries is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This role is ideal for dependable team players with manufacturing experience who want to build technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

What Youll Do

• Assist with operating and changing over production equipment
• Inspect, handle, and pack finished products per SOPs
• Perform stacker and packer duties accurately and efficiently
• Conduct quality checks (counts, weights, seals, print, dates)
• Monitor machines and report issues to supervisors
• Perform roll changes and minor preventive maintenance
• Identify equipment or product issues and shut down machines when required
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

What Were Looking For

• 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic math, counting, and measurement skills
• Ability to read and follow English SOPs
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly
• Flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• On-the-job training may substitute for experience

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull 75100 lbs with assistance
• Frequent reaching, climbing/balancing, and handling materials
• Visual inspection of products and equipment required
