Job summary

A.O. Smith Corp. is seeking a Machine Operator 3 for our onsite facility in McBee, SC. The role requires following standard work, operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities include material handling, set up and changeovers, reporting issues to leads, and aiding in training other operators. High School diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow standard work and work instructions.
• Ability to read simple blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Ability to perform repetitive work with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
• Must be able to operate all required machines.

Responsibilities

• Gather materials to maintain production.
• Set up, operate, and adjust equipment to meet specifications.
• Perform visual quality checks and ensure product quality.
• Operate and monitor machinery and replenish materials.
• Complete changeovers accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Report quality or process issues to supervisor.
• Train other operators as needed.
