Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a driven Machine Operator to run high-speed production equipment and lead the machine crew while owning safety, quality, and uptime on the line. The role requires hands-on mechanical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Reading, PA.

Successful candidates will have 3+ years of machine operator experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead or direct a machine crew in a high-speed environment.
• Strong safety mindset and reliable attendance.
• Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including overtime and weekends.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting ability.

Responsabilités

• Operate corrugated production equipment to maintain safe, efficient workflow.
• Lead and coordinate machine crew during setups and changeovers.
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure correct dimensions and zero material defects.
• Independently troubleshoot mechanical, quality, and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain required production, quality, and downtime reports.
• Drive safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement on the machine.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, maintenance, and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
