Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Lead Machine Operator at the Acorn packing plant in Virginia. The role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment while guiding machine operators to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

This full-time, on-site position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent within the Acorn Maintenance department. Compensation starts at $23.50 per hour, with benefits, training, and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and coach machine operators in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical understanding and ability to troubleshoot on the floor.
• Comfort with reading and following technical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery at the Acorn Plant.
• Lead and guide machine operators to meet quality and safety standards.
• Enforce safety, food safety, and company procedures in daily work.
• Coordinate tasks and communicate issues to production management and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Train operators on procedures and safe work practices.
• Assist with setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting as required.
