Job summary

Dart Container is seeking a Lead Machine Operator to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead and assist on the floor, troubleshoot machinery, and coach operators to uphold safety, quality, and productivity.

You will spend about 85% of your time on the production floor, supporting machine operations and monitoring performance during overnight shifts on a 7p-7a schedule with a 2-2-3 rotation and every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• 1+ year lead operator or production lead experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• SAP experience not required
• Forklift/PIT experience not required

We are seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader who has a strong background operating manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting machinery, leading teams, and maintaining production efficiency during overnight operations.

The successful candidate will spend approximately 85% of their time on the production floor, actively supporting machine operations, assisting operators, monitoring productivity, and ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are achieved.

Shift Availability:

• 7p-7a - 12 hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, averaging 40 hours per week. Every other weekend off!

What we're looking for:

We are specifically seeking candidates who:

• Have machine operating experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging, converting, food production, plastics, or similar industrial environment
• Have demonstrated leadership experience or the ability to lead and coach production teams
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and productivity are top priorities

Core Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year previous Lead Machine Operator or Production Lead experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• SAP experience, not required
• Forklift/PIT experience, not required
