Job summary

Stratasys is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician in Eden Prairie, MN to perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and repair manufacturing equipment on a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 9:45 PM–6:15 AM). The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, accurate recordkeeping, and collaboration with production teams.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of related experience or an associate’s degree, strong troubleshooting, and familiarity with PLCs and automation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 4 years of related experience in lieu of education.
• 4+ years of related maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine inspections and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions using a systematic approach.
• Perform repairs and replace defective parts using hand/power tools.
• Collaborate with production to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime.
• Identify and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Generate reports on machine performance and maintenance.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
