Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• License as an LPN/LVN in this state is required.
• Experience in supervising nursing staff or nursing assistants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shifts’ services, programs, and activities.
• Coordinate and supervise charting, medication administration, and discharge planning as required.
• Maintain quality assurance and participate in facility surveys and regulatory inspections.
