Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an engineer to design, develop and support low voltage control systems for SF6 circuit breakers, and to manage the product configurator and SAP data. You will mentor drafting teams and collaborate with remote factory teams to ensure project success.

You will bring a strong electrical engineering background, experience with high voltage systems, and proficiency in CREO/AutoCAD/E3, Excel, SQL, Python, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3–5 years in product design, BOM management, manufacturing processes, and project management.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAP (BOMs, material masters) and experience with product configuration tools.
• Domain Expertise: Strong electrical engineering background with knowledge of high voltage and dead tank circuit breakers.
• Design Tools: CREO, AutoCAD, and E3 (or similar electrical design software).
• Data Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Develop low voltage control systems for SF6 insulated circuit breakers.
• Technical Execution: Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for improvements.
• Component Selection: Advise on relays, sensors, and controllers to optimize performance.
• Drafting Support & Mentorship: Guide the drafting team to produce high-quality drawings and documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with remote factory teams and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for customers and field service teams.
• Compliance: Ensure designs meet safety and environmental regulations.
• Configurator Maintenance: Maintain the product configurator platform and translate constraints into rules.
• BOM Administration: Manage SAP BOMs and material masters for production-ready structures.
• Operational Support: First line of support for configurator-related issues.
