Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is seeking a Clinical Manager to oversee the nursing department in a long-term care facility, providing management and supervision. The role ensures alignment with policies and procedures and acts as DON in the assigned facility.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Associates Degree in nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of long-term care supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all clinical operations of the LTC facilities and ensures policy consistency.
• Functions as the LTC Nursing Manager (DON) and mentors Nurse Managers.
• Plans, organizes, and controls nursing services and acts as supervisor when administrator is absent.
• Manages FTEs and budget in line with resident needs and regulatory requirements.
• Promotes staff development through in-service programs and continuing education.
• Ensures written multi-disciplinary care plans for each resident.
• Ensures state-approved resident assessments are completed as required.
