Job summary

Utah Transit Authority is seeking a supervisor for LRV maintenance, overseeing repairs, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of the Light Rail Vehicle fleet. You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate work, and ensure timely scheduling to avoid service disruption.

You will train staff on new tech and maintain safety standards. The role requires extensive repair experience, a valid Utah driver’s license, and passing an LRV operations qualification.

Qualifications

• Five years of mechanical/electrical/electronic repair experience (Journeyist or Class A level).
• One year of supervisory experience with progression in supervising mechanics/technicians.
• High School diploma plus two years of college/technical training in electrical/mechanical fields.
• Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License with a safe driving record.
• Must pass a limited LRV operations qualification exam and obtain safety-related trainings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LRV maintenance and coordinate work activities to keep the fleet available.
• Ensure timely maintenance scheduling and efficient completion of tasks.
• Ensure staff are qualified, trained, and performing safely.
• Train staff on technological changes and new maintenance methods.
