Job summary

Bi-State Development in Saint Clair Yards (IL) seeks an Assistant Superintendent, LRV Maintenance to oversee maintenance of rail rolling stock and ensure safe operation. You will manage planning, payroll, materials, and staff training while enforcing safety standards.

You will mentor maintenance staff, work with LRV Engineering, and coordinate with supervisors to support the MetroLink network. Strong leadership and technical expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified LRV Electromechanic or LRV Supervisor required.
• Strong knowledge of LRV circuits and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Payroll, Contracts and Procurement, and Labor Relations.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient with MS Office and CFA for fleet data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection and maintenance of LRV fleets.
• Document repairs and implement corrective actions to minimize repeats.
• Administer training and maintain certifications for staff.
• Manage shop equipment, tools, and safety-related gear.
• Ensure safe working conditions and regulatory compliance.
• Plan maintenance activities and manage budgets and resources.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and SME staff.
