Job summary

BARTOW in is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN or registered nurse to oversee daily nursing operations in a long-term care facility. You will supervise nursing assistants, ensure policy compliance, and coordinate care plans with physicians and other staff.

The role requires strong leadership, meticulous documentation, and a solid grasp of regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality resident care. This is an on-site position with standard shifts in a Florida facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Ability to lead nursing staff and supervise CNAs.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical records and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing assistant functions in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures by nursing staff.
• Review and revise department policies, procedures, and manuals as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure adherence by personnel.
• Record and report shift activities and outcomes to supervisors.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain resident care.
• Oversee charting and documentation accuracy for residents.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered and verify resident identity.
