Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants according to facility policies and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Service Procedures Manual and related regulations.
• Lead shift planning, coordinate services and activities, and communicate with staff.
• Maintain the Daily Census Report and submit to the Business Office as required.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel and supervise the unit/shift staff.
• Oversee discharge planning and coordinate with other departments to ensure continuum of care.
