Job summary

Palm Bay Memory Care in Palm Bay, FL is seeking an LPN to supervise shifts, coordinate resident care, and assign tasks to RCAs and MTs. The role includes administering medications, reviewing MARs, and leading the Wellness Department during the shift.

The nurse will report to the Wellness Director, monitor safety, train new staff, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Must be licensed in the state where you work.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Assisted Living experience preferred; Dementia care preferred.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Drug testing and criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delegates work assignments to ensure shift coverage.
• Supervises the delivery of personal care to residents.
• Administers medications as ordered and documents in MAR.
• Acts as shift team leader; coaches RCAs/MTs on care practices.
• Reports changes in resident health to physician and responsible party.
• Maintains security of medication cart and conducts narcotic counts.
• Transcribes physician orders and notifies pharmacy of changes.
• Orients and trains new associates and participates in evaluations.
• Monitors e-call system and resident charts for timely care.
