Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
• Prepares and administers medications as per physicians’ orders and observes for adverse effects.
• Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents’ needs are holistically met.
