Job summary

Harbor’s Edge is seeking a positive, motivated LPN Day Supervisor to oversee Assisted Living and Memory Support units in a resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Virginia. You will supervise staff, administer medications, and ensure regulatory compliance under the guidance of the MS Manager and Health Services Administrator.

The role requires an LPN license, 3+ years in LTC/AL, and at least 1 year in nursing supervision, with CPR/First Aid, and a current COVID vaccine.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High school diploma/GED.
• Current state license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• At least three (3) years of related work experience; Assisted Living and/or Long-Term Care experience required.
• At least one (1) year of nursing supervisory experience required.
• Current COVID Vaccine is required to support the health and safety of our residents and staff.
• Must have CPR and First Aid Trained with a current, valid certificate/card.
• ISP/UAI certification preferred
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record system preferred
• Must be able to exert at least 50 lbs. of energy to assist residents and move safely.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of the Assisted Living and Memory Support departments.
• Make reports and recommendations to the Administrator as necessary.
• Coordinate staffing, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Develop and monitor resident care plans and document observations.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as required.
• Document all relevant observations and communications by end of shift.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinate services with other departments and attend interdisciplinary meetings.
• Assist with budgets and procure supplies within budget.
