Job summary

Kidwell is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and train customers on a variety of systems including Avigilon, Verkada, and Nurse Call. The role will oversee on-site installers, coordinate with sales and engineering teams, and ensure projects meet scope and budget.

Hospitals and medical facility experience is common in this field. You will work closely with project managers and engineers, train customers on features, and support growth as Kidwell expands in the Midwest.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of low-voltage experience is required.
  • Associates degree from a two-year college or university preferred but not required.
  • State licensure is preferred.
  • Previous people management and/or team development experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work within the estimated job scope and budget is crucial to the success of this position.
  • Physical ability to perform required job tasks.
  • Must have a positive attitude and ability to communicate well with clients and team, including email, phone, and in-person.
  • Industry or Vendor certifications are a plus.
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License and be able to pass a One Source Background check.
  • A basic understanding of LAN’s and IP addressing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Access Control, Camera, RTLS and Nurse Call Systems.
  • Installation of cabling, devices, and system components.
  • Installation and configuration of servers, network switches, and UPS equipment.
  • Work in hospitals or other medical facilities regularly.
  • Train clients on operating the installed equipment.
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers to grasp scope and design.
  • Develop relationships with customers and explain system features.
  • Train installers and ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Attend vendor trainings to grow technical knowledge.
