Job summary

Amphenol Custom Cable is seeking skilled Low Voltage Lead Technicians in Marietta, GA to install and maintain voice, data, and fiber optic cabling, ensuring high-quality network infrastructure for clients. The role requires lifting, climbing, and working flexible hours, with travel from Monday to Friday and occasional Sunday evenings.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in low voltage and fiber optic cable installation.
  • Basic computer skills and good written/verbal communication.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to travel, with travel typically Monday to Friday. Some Sunday evenings.
  • Physical ability to carry heavy loads and climb ladders.
  • Experience operating aerial lift equipment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safety-conscious work environment.
  • Must reside in the same state as the office location.
  • Be able to speak fluent English.
  • Be able to read English.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, label, and document Category 5e & 6 structured cabling systems.
  • Perform fiber optic termination and testing, including fusion and mechanical splicing.
  • Install and maintain paging and white noise systems.
  • Set up cable pathway systems such as cable trays, racks, J-hooks, or D-rings.
  • Dress and route cables into telecommunications closets and work area outlets.
  • Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms.
  • Firestop various types of cable penetrations.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and document test results for cabling.
  • Perform other duties as required.
