Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician to supervise junior technicians on commercial projects. You will pull, test, and terminate CAT5e/6a cabling, install support structures, and operate a range of hand and power tools.

The role requires adaptability to various shifts and environments, including outdoor work and confined spaces. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of leadership experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred certifications such as BICSI, FOI, FOA, or OSHA.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading technicians on projects.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications such as BICSI, FOI, FOA, OSHA are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise junior Low Voltage Technicians on a commercial jobsite.
  • Pull, test, and terminate CAT5e/6a cabling in a commercial environment.
  • Install support structures such as J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable tray.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
  • Ensure cables are labeled in a neat and organized manner.
  • Test every newly installed or relocated cable per procedures.
  • Record time and materials used.
  • Assist team members with installation and maintenance.
  • Research required information using available resources.
  • Be willing to work any shift (days, nights, or weekends).
  • Work in outdoor and confined spaces, with varying weather and heights.
