Job summary

Place Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Low Voltage Technician for a project in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on installing Structured Cabling (Cat-6/6A, fiber) and mounting/connecting end devices for Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in low voltage cabling and device installation, can manage a crew of up to five technicians, and coordinates with the on-site project manager to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NICET, NEC, TIA/EIA) and prior work on large construction sites.
• Troubleshooting and repairing network and controls systems.
• Low voltage cabling and device installation skills.
• OSHA-30 card required; manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lb alone / 100 lb with assistance and work outdoors in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Install Structured Cabling Systems including Cat-6/6A, single/multi-mode fiber, telecom room build-out, data center build-out, and perform testing/certification.
• Install and connect Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm end devices; assist Systems Tech with startup.
• Manage a crew of up to five technicians on typical project assignments.
• Coordinate with a project manager or on-site superintendent on all assigned projects.
