Job summary

Foundation Recruiting and Consulting is seeking a Design Engineer for Low Voltage, Telecom, and Structured Cabling to lead design efforts on commercial and industrial facilities.

You will design, specify, and document low-voltage systems, coordinate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, and oversee projects from concept through construction to ensure on-time completion and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Electrical and communications design/engineering experience on commercial and industrial multi-use buildings.
• Recent experience with consulting engineers or engineering/architectural firms designing Low Voltage systems.
• Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat divisions 27 and 28.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD and able to perform design engineering independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage Low Voltage (cabling, AV, security) and multi-discipline projects to meet client needs and budgets.
• Interact with facilities and major clients to define scope and prepare proposals.
• Prepare low-voltage designs for structured cabling, access control, CCTV, voice/data systems.
• Provide field support during construction and resolve issues quickly.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines to ensure schedules are met.
