Job summary

Technibus, Inc. is seeking a Communications Technician II in the United States. You will lead a technical crew of installers, coordinate daily workload, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards across projects.

You will install outlets, build closets, perform testing, identify circuits, and complete required paperwork. This role requires supervisory skills and strong communication to drive project success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of telecommunications or related technical field experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install a work area outlet for floor, modular furniture and wall, terminate CAT 3 & CAT 5 jacks, mount face plates and surface-mount boxes per standards.
  • Build closets (mount backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware) and install grounding for racks and equipment.
  • Perform testing: continuity test of horizontal and riser cable, use volt-ohmmeter, troubleshoot opens/shorts/transpose pairs, use a tone set.
  • Identify active voice or data circuits.
  • Coordinate crew performance and training; manage personnel and timelines to complete projects.
  • Complete IES COMMERCIAL paperwork (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards and regulations.
