Job summary

The E.W. Scripps Company in Atlanta is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to be the backbone of our control room operations. You will troubleshoot on the fly and ensure broadcasts run smoothly for viewers.

You will support remote guests, manage field signals, ingest video, and collaborate with network engineering to meet studio needs. The role requires hands-on problem solving, quick decisions, and solid IT knowledge related to broadcast equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Specialized training/certification may be required.
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for remote guests using various video conferencing platforms.
• Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field.
• Organize and ingest video from field crews and affiliates for editorial use.
• Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times.
• Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio.
