Job summary

Elliott Aviation in Illinois seeks a Line Service Crew Chief to lead daily ramp operations, perform aircraft handling, fueling, towing, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will mentor teammates, enforce safety and FAA-compliant practices, and coordinate with internal teams to keep aircraft moving efficiently. Primary schedule is day shift with occasional evenings and weekends; outdoor work required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of aviation line service experience.
• Demonstrated aircraft towing experience.
• Experience performing aircraft fueling operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift activities and provide operational direction for line service personnel.
• Serve as the primary operational resource for ramp activities during assigned shifts.
• Marshal, park, secure, and reposition aircraft safely and efficiently.
• Tow aircraft for maintenance, storage, hangaring, and customer requests.
• Perform aircraft fueling operations in accordance with procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate aircraft movements and hangar utilization with internal departments and flight crews.
• Train and mentor line service technicians on safety procedures, fueling practices, customer service expectations, and aircraft handling techniques.
• Promote adherence to FAA regulations, airport requirements, company policies, and ramp safety standards.
• Monitor ramp conditions and assist in maintaining a safe operating environment.
• Assist with fuel inventory management, records, and related documentation.
• Conduct routine inspections of ground support equipment and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional ramp, hangar, and facility environments.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to aircraft owners, operators, passengers, pilots, and crew members.
• Support special events, after-hours operational needs, and AOG situations when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
