Job summary

Covenant Living at Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Lead Line Cook to prepare, portion, cook, and present a range of hot and cold items for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and special events. You will lead line duties, ensure high quality, and train junior staff in a senior living healthcare kitchen.

The role requires a high standard of food safety, a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit, and familiarity with recipes and production sheets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Servsafe training beneficial.
• State sanitation certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks foods for the full line, including main entrees.
• Follow complex recipes and product directions for preparing and serving dishes.
• Plate food with attention to appearance and garnish.
• Maintain sanitation and follow safety regulations in all kitchen areas.
• May assist with training and directing junior staff.
