The Madison Concourse Hotel in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook to manage pantry, sauté and broiler stations and serve as the go-to person on the line during shifts.

You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, mentor newer cooks, uphold our quality standards, and cook right alongside the team. Starting pay is $25/hour with a 2pm-11pm schedule, weekends and holidays required.

Formación

• 3+ years of line cook experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and temperature standards.
• Clear, calm communication, even when the board is full.
• Patience and willingness to teach.
• Good judgment and a sharp eye for quality.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• On the line: Prep soups, sauces and specials; cook meats to correct temps; accommodate special requests.
• As shift lead: Coordinate workflow and daily priorities; coach less experienced cooks; uphold standards for safety, sanitation and uniforms.
• Keeping it tight: Run opening/closing procedures; maintain storage and labeling; keep stations clean and sanitized.
