DoorDash is building innovative kitchen formats that cater to the on-demand economy. These kitchens are tailored to off-premise (delivery, catering, pick-up, etc.) with a minimal storefront. DoorDash Kitchens enable merchants to expand their geographic reach and give customers instant access to new restaurants that were previously too far away.
You will oversee the daily execution of food orders, maintain culinary standards, and supervise staff. Responsibilities include team scheduling, managing inventory, tracking orders, and operating a professional kitchen. You will cook multiple culinary concepts, execute brand menus in our first full-service kitchen on the East Coast, and help reach new audiences.
Assist with supervisory duties as per company policy when the manager is absent, including being the designated responsible individual for opening and closing procedures and fostering responsibility among team members.
Maintain thorough knowledge of SOPs and recipes. Serve as the go-to person for questions, leading by example.
Train team members and ensure SOP compliance.
Collaborate with management to implement operational improvements.
Follow recipes and checklists to prepare menu items accurately and efficiently, delivering orders to the dispatch area with quality and speed.
Prepare ingredients to specifications, including labeling and dating, ensuring readiness prior to service.
Ensure dishes are cleaned and organized promptly to support smooth kitchen operations.
Set up and break down stations, maintain sanitation and safety standards, and adhere to ServSafe guidelines.
Identify par levels, receive inventory accurately, and organize stock for easy access.
Communicate effectively, share ideas, support colleagues, and exercise autonomy when needed.
