Job summary

Vail Resorts in the mountains seeks a Lift Experience Team Lead for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will guide daily lift operations, schedule staff, and ensure safe, efficient service to guests on the mountain.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in lift or mountain operations, a High School diploma, and excellent English communication. You must be able to work outdoors in all weather, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather; flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling staff and procedures for opening and closing lifts.
• Assist with hiring, support, and training of operators and scanners in daily operations and safety; monitor performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, policies, and safety procedures to protect guests.
• Work with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance to resolve issues on the mountain.
• Promote clean and organized workstations.
• Handle guest questions, comments, and complaints with timely resolutions.
• Flexible team lead role supporting ticket scanning and additional training.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Lift Experience Team’s mission is to provide employees and guests witha seamlessend-to-end experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. As a Lift Operations Team Lead, you willbe responsible forthe safe operation of resort lifts,overseeemployees in the Lift Experience Team, while being courteous and efficient guest service champions with a proven ability to lead.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $29.22/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling staff and procedures for opening and closing lifts


• Assistwith hiring, support, and training of operators and scanners in daily operations and safety Monitor and document lift operator performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or correction action if necessary


• Maintainup to date knowledge of and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of all guests


• Work closely with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and lift electric toassistand resolve any problems that may arise on the mountain


• Promote clean and organized workstations


• Receive and assess guest questions, comments and complaints providingtimelyresolutions


• A Team Lead Lift Operator is a flexible employee within the Lift Experience department who takes onadditionaltraining to support ticket scanning


• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalentrequired


• 1-2 years ofpreviouslift or mountain operations experiencerequired


• Must be physically capable ofassistingguests while loading lifts; maylift upto 40lbs


• Must be able to communicate fluently in English


• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving forentireshift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.


• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends


• The expected pay range is$22.00/hr - $29.22/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
