Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring a Lift Experience Team Lead for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. Starting wage ranges from $22.00 to $29.22 per hour, with full-time hours and weekends/holidays as needed.

You will lead lift operations, hire and train staff, and ensure guest safety and satisfaction across resort lifts in a dynamic mountain environment. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in lift or mountain operations, a High School Diploma or GED, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience required.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of resort lifts, including staffing and opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with hiring, training, and providing feedback to operators and scanners.
• Ensure safety and compliance with laws, policies, and procedures on the mountain.
• Collaborate with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Promote organized workstations and provide timely guest resolutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Lift Experience Team’s mission is to provide employees and guests witha seamlessend-to-end experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. As a Lift Operations Team Lead, you willbe responsible forthe safe operation of resort lifts,overseeemployees in the Lift Experience Team, while being courteous and efficient guest service champions with a proven ability to lead.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead daily operations of resort lifts such as scheduling staff and procedures for opening and closing lifts

Assistwith hiring, support, and training of operators and scanners in daily operations and safety Monitor and document lift operator performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition or correction action if necessary

Maintainup to date knowledge of and enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of all guests

Work closely with ski patrol, mountain safety, lift maintenance, and lift electric toassistand resolve any problems that may arise on the mountain

Promote clean and organized workstations

Receive and assess guest questions, comments and complaints providingtimelyresolutions

A Team Lead Lift Operator is a flexible employee within the Lift Experience department who takes onadditionaltraining to support ticket scanning

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalentrequired

1-2 years ofpreviouslift or mountain operations experiencerequired

Must be physically capable ofassistingguests while loading lifts; maylift upto 40lbs

Must be able to communicate fluently in English

Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving forentireshift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

The expected pay range is$22.00/hr - $29.22/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
