Job summary

ARM Group LLC is seeking a Licensed Surveyor for hands-on fieldwork across diverse regional projects. You will lead field crews and perform boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA/ACSM, and environmental surveys using robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment.

The role involves frequent travel, strict safety practices, and collaboration with the Survey Manager to ensure project progress and data integrity. Excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of field surveying experience.
• Active PLS license in VA.
• Experience operating robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong field calculation and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience supervising field crews.
• Ability to interpret plans, plats, legal descriptions, and engineering drawings in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in field survey crews.
• Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, ALTA/ACSM, as‑built, and environmental surveys.
• Operate survey equipment including robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS receivers.
• Research and analyze field data discrepancies and boundary conflicts on‑site.
• Perform field calculations and data verification on project sites.
• Implement safety protocols and traffic control measures.
• Maintain field vehicles, equipment, and supplies for daily deployment.
• Record detailed field notes and digital data on‑site.
• Communicate progress to Survey Manager daily.
