The position involves reader guidance, circulation, cataloging, inventory, statistics, and customer service across Newberry and Headquarters branches. Evening/weekend hours may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• Successful completion of a criminal history background investigation is required prior to employment.
• Evening and weekend work hours may be required.
• Positions available at Newberry and Headquarters Library branches.
• Knowledge of library procedures and reference resources.

Responsabilidades

• Lead worker on assigned tasks.
• Assist patrons with searches and locating materials.
• Perform circulation tasks and issue library cards.
• Index and maintain records, databases, and files.
• Generate annual statistics and reports.
• Initiate correspondence and follow-up on subjects.
• Direct lower level staff in stacks maintenance and other duties.
• Review materials and recommend purchases to a librarian.
• Operate library equipment and assist patrons.
• Explain procedures and enforce policies to patrons.
